Reporting to the Manager or designate, and under the general supervision of the Charge Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides nursing care to assigned residents and patients. Responsibilities include performing nursing procedures such as taking temperature, pulse, and respiration, as well as patient care duties related to feeding, personal hygiene, and transporting patients. The role also involves assisting in social, recreational, diversional, and physical therapy programs, along with clerical duties such as assembling and maintaining patient charts.
Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Registration with the BC Care Aide Registry is required.
