Job summary

Bayshore HealthCare in Windsor is seeking a compassionate Continuing Care Assistant to provide homemaking, companionship, and personal care to clients in their homes, following individualized care plans.

The role requires assisting with daily living activities, monitoring client conditions, and maintaining safety with infection prevention practices. English communication is required; French is an asset. A driver’s license is beneficial but not mandatory.

Qualifications

  • Completion of formal caregiver training program and/or combination of education and experience.
  • Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
  • Able to communicate effectively in English; French proficiency asset.

Responsibilities

  • Provide homemaking services (cleaning, cooking, laundry, household management).
  • Offer companionship and accompany clients to activities and events.
  • Administer personal care per care plan directives.
  • Assist with activities of daily living and mobility as needed.
  • Observe and document client conditions and report changes.
