Bayshore HealthCare in Canada is seeking a highly skilled Personal Caregiver to join its trusted home-care team. You will provide comprehensive homemaking, companionship, and personal care to clients in their own homes, ensuring comfort, safety, and well-being.

Responsibilities include following care plans, documenting conditions, supporting activities of daily living, and adhering to infection prevention practices. French skills are an asset; a Criminal background check is required.

Qualifications

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program or equivalent experience.
• Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English; French is a plus.
• Provide high-quality care services with current practices for community care.
• Physically capable to assist clients with movement and daily living activities.

• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.

• Observe and document client conditions, report changes to supervisor.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including but not limited to cleaning, cooking, laundry, and general household management
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events
• Administer personal care services in accordance with the care plan directives
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients to the highest possible standard
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to meet their specific needs
• Perform specialized procedures for clients where training has been provided while demonstrating current competency
• Observe and document client conditions in line with company standards; promptly report any unusual events or changes in client condition to the Supervisor or Office
• Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices

Requirements:

• Completion of formal, accredited caregiver training program and/or a combination of equivalent education and experience.
• Strong knowledge of the principles of caregiving as well as well as customer service.
• Able to communicate effectively in spoken and written English; French proficiency will be deemed an asset
• Provide high-quality care services to clients with current knowledge of practices for community care
• Physically assist clients with movement and/or repositioning; able to lift 23 kgs., squat, bend, stand and reach
• Reliable mode of transportation; driver's license and automobile considered as an asset
• Able to produce a clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check
