Job Description

In accordance with the Vision, Purpose, and Values, and strategic direction of the Vancouver Island Health Authority (Island Health), patient and staff safety is a priority and a shared responsibility. The role involves continuously improving quality and safety in all aspects.

Reporting to the Manager or designate, and under the supervision of the Charge Nurse, provides nursing care to residents and patients. Performs procedures such as taking vital signs, assisting with feeding, personal hygiene, transporting patients, and supporting social, recreational, and therapy programs. Also handles clerical duties like maintaining patient charts.

Qualifications
Education, Training, and Experience
  • Grade 10 plus graduation from a recognized Nursing Assistant Program or equivalent education, training, and experience.
  • Registered with the BC Care Aide Registry.
