Job description

Proudly Canadian and located in Elmira, Ontario, Trylon is a leader is manufacturing steel towers used by the global telecommunications industry. The HR Assistant will provide human resources administrative support for all Trylon employees. This includes in-person work at our Elmira manufacturing and office facility, employees working remotely and our international employees. The position is an in-office role without the ability to work remotely.

This role will complete duties and tasks such as:

HR Assistant:

  • Report, track and follow attendance process for union staff.
  • Enter training sheets in database and maintain training files for office, plant and field employees.
  • Issue and track employee recognition rewards, sending letters and order selections.
  • Track employee service anniversaries and send award letters and order selection.
  • Assist with plant recruitment, complete orientation of new employees.
  • Create new employee files & employee profiles in ADP Workforce Now.
  • Updates to ADP Workforce Now as required.
  • Enter Time off requests in Kebrite (time & attendance system).
  • Update and report on attendance.
  • Offer advice and suggestions to supervisors and employees on HR related topics.
  • Answer incoming calls to main reception line and redirect calls and inquiries.
  • Process all incoming and outgoing regular mail, fax and office courier packages.
  • Sort and stamp all incoming A/P invoices.
  • Greet all incoming guests in lobby.
  • Ensure the front lobby is presentable, seasonal and clean.
  • Keep various lists up to date (i.e. Phone lists).

You will bring to Trylon:

  • Human Resources education and/or experience.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with a Time and Attendance system an asset.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail in previous positions.
  • Ability to work with sensitive information with confidentiality.
  • Capacity to deal with ambiguity.
  • Capable to handle multiple priorities and able to prioritize tasks.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Friendly and Service oriented.
