First Onsite is seeking to hire a full-time Contents Handling/Cleaning Labourer to provide general cleaning, moving, and packing at both the customer's site and in the shop to prepare for rebuild and repair construction work.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A Contents Handling/Cleaning Labourer

As a Contents Handling/Cleaning Technician, you ensure that the contents and belongings of our clients are safely removed and packed so that the necessary rebuild and repair work can be done. While packing and moving boxes as well as loading furniture, you are sure to take great care. You list and document restorable and non-restorable contents both in the warehouse and on customer sites. At the completion of the construction project, you are responsible for moving customer property to their previous condition in a timely manner.

You conduct general everyday cleaning in addition to pre-construction and post-construction cleaning. Both at the warehouse and on customer sites, you clean household contents. You enjoy working with your hands as you participate in your cleaning, packing, and moving responsibilities. Plus, you enjoy interacting with our customers and providing them with excellent customer service. In this Contents Technician / General Labourer position, you play an essential role in giving our customers a great experience with First Onsite!

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Clean criminal record
  • Capability to lift, carry, and move heavy items
  • Willing to work on-call for after-hours emergency work
  • Work activities may include physical labour, material handling and lifting, climbing ladders, wearing a respirator, and working in tight spaces (attics, basements, and crawlspaces)
