Job Title: Content Writer (Pending Funding Approval)

Status: Temporary, part-time (Union position)

Hours: 10 hours/week

Schedule: Must be available on Fridays

Rate: $33.77/hr - $38.77/hr (starting at $33.77/hr)

Start Date: ASAP

End Date: March 31, 2026

The Opportunity:

The Content Writer will develop curriculum content for Safe Haven ELT, collaborating with stakeholders to ensure materials are clear, engaging, and aligned with educational goals. The role involves research, content creation, editing, and continuous improvement to support language training programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Research and develop curriculum content for Safe Haven ELT.
  • Create educational materials including outlines, objectives, assessments, and scenarios.
  • Participate in curriculum team meetings and summarize development plans.
  • Edit and proofread content for quality and consistency.
  • Revise content based on feedback to improve learning outcomes.
  • Demonstrate commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
  • Manage day-to-day program operations and collaborate with team members.
  • Engage with teachers and managers to tailor content to client needs.
  • Design and develop diverse courses ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Conduct research with Subject Matter Experts for accurate content.
  • Create high-quality materials like lesson plans, quizzes, and supplementary resources.
  • Work with experts and designers to enhance content with multimedia elements.
  • Drive ongoing content improvement through research and feedback.
  • Meet deadlines and manage multiple projects efficiently.

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Writing, or related field.

A Criminal Record Check is required.
