Job description

About NotaryPro

Founded by a lawyer with a passion for innovation, NotaryPro is the trailblazer behind Canada’s first remote online notary platform. Since 2016, our rapidly expanding team has served over 350,000 clients across Canada and worldwide — including more than 1,000 corporate clients.

We also operate the nation’s largest and top-rated network of in-person notary services, with over 300 locations across the country.

We’re on a mission to make legal services faster, more accessible, and easier to understand. To support this growth, we are seeking a talented and driven Content Writer to join our marketing team and help craft extremely well-researched, SEO-optimized content that makes complex legal topics approachable and engaging.

Role Overview

As a Content Writer, you will play a key role in creating informative and search-friendly content that educates our customers and supports our marketing and SEO objectives. You’ll work closely with the Content Manager to plan, research, and write articles, blog posts, and other digital content related to legal documents, notary services, and legal processes.

The ideal candidate has exceptional research and writing skills, knows SEO best practices inside and out, and is passionate about transforming complex legal concepts into clear, digestible content for our growing audience.

Key Responsibilities
  • Research and write detailed, high-quality, well-structured content on topics related to notary services, commissioning services, legal documents, and legal processes.
  • Optimize content for SEO, including keyword research, metadata, and structured formatting.
  • Ensure all content is factually accurate, up to date, well-researched, and aligned with legal guidelines.
  • Break down complex legal topics into clear, concise, and engaging content for the average reader.
  • Collaborate with the Content Manager and marketing team to align content with business objectives and brand voice.
  • Maintain an editorial calendar and ensure timely delivery of content.
Qualifications and Skills
  • 4+ years of experience writing about legal, technical, or highly researched topics.
  • Strong knowledge of SEO best practices and content optimization.
  • Excellent research skills and ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Impeccable grammar, spelling, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to write in a clear, accessible, and engaging style.
  • Experience working with content management systems (CMS), preferably WordPress.
  • Familiarity with Canadian legal processes or notarization (an asset but not required).
What We Offer
  • Competitive salary and benefits (based on experience and employment type).
  • Flexible remote work environment.
  • Opportunities for professional development and growth within a fast-growing legal tech company.
  • A collaborative and supportive team culture.
  • The chance to contribute to meaningful content that helps make legal services more accessible across Canada.
