What will be your daily pursuit?
We’re seeking an adventurous candidate with a creative mind that will propel our social presence forward. The primary responsibility of the Social Media Content Specialist is the production of engaging and creative organic social content for cross-platform distribution. Reporting to our Sr. Manager, Social Media + Content, you will be representing Pursuit’s iconic and unforgettable attractions, hotels and experiences in Banff and Golden. You will be creating and posting content and managing the daily operations of various social channels and helping to coordinate various social media ambassadors and contractors. The role is focused on engaging, building and proactively managing authentic content that inspires followers across Pursuit’s social platforms.
What will your compensation be?
$2308 bi-weekly.
When does this adventure begin?
This role is set to begin mid-May, and is a 6 month contract concluding in mid-November, 2025.

What will you do in this job?
- Social media calendar management to include layout and execution of organic social media content according to the larger social media plan and content strategy.
- Appear on camera, speak about our key messages and maintain an authentic presence to engage the audience and represent the brand.
- On-the-ground content collection in the form of photo, video and audio content.
- Schedule social media content through Sprout Social or Later software.
- May also engage in baseline community management, such as social communication, social listening and monitoring.
- Actively stay on top of social media trends best practices to inspire content creation and guide content goal plans for contractors and ambassadors.
- On-the-ground relationship management with key operations team members for shoot scheduling and site visits.
- Mastering brand knowledge to tailor content to fit the unique attributes of each individual business.
- Collaboration with local marketing + operations teams to align to key priorities.
What skills and experience do you need for this job?
- 2+ years content production experience with a focus on social media.
- Access to camera and phone to produce high-quality photo and video content an asset.
- University degree or college diploma in Communication, Marketing, Social Media or Digital Marketing a plus.
- Understanding of social media best practices and platforms: Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, YouTube, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook Business Manager.
- Experience with enterprise social media tools, such as Sprout Social and Later a plus.
- Basic graphic design skills with competency in Adobe CS and experience with app-based design tools, such as Canva.
- Competent in MS Office.
- Experience working in a fast-paced, complex, yet dynamic work environment and able to multitask on a variety of different projects with strong project management skills.
