Job summary

LexisNexis Legal & Professional is seeking a Content Lawyer (Commercial Law) to create and maintain practical legal content for Canadian professionals. The role emphasizes collaboration with a cross-functional team to deliver high-quality materials, including notes, precedents, and checklists, while monitoring trends and maintaining currency.

You will engage with practitioners nationwide, leverage AI/LLM tools in workflows, and contribute to sales demonstrations and trainings.

Qualifications

• J.D./LL.B. and member in good standing with a Canadian bar.
• 3+ years of practice experience in Commercial law.
• In-House Counsel experience is an asset.
• Deep knowledge of Commercial law and workflow.
• Strong professional network of Commercial lawyers.
• Strong writing skills with clear, concise communication.
• Experience drafting or editing client materials, law journals, CLE presentations or other legal content.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficient with MS Office products.
• Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented.
• Experience using AI and LLM tools in professional workflows.
• Fluent in French is an asset.

About the Role

As a Content Lawyer (Commercial Law): Practical Guidance, you will contribute to the development of an innovative online resource designed for Canadian legal professionals. You will use your subject matter expertise to create and maintain high-quality, practical legal content while collaborating with a team of experienced professionals. Requirements

• J.D./LL.B. and member of one or more of the bars of any Canadian province or territory (active and in good standing)
• 3+ years of practice experience in Commercial law
• Experience as an In-House Counsel is an asset
• Deep knowledge of Commercial law and workflow
• Strong professional network of Commercial lawyers
• Strong, practical writing skills with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely
• Experience drafting or editing client materials, law journals, CLE presentations or other legal content
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Proficient with MS Office products
• Highly organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Experience using AI and LLM tools as part of a professional workflow, including validating and improving outputs
• Fluent in French is an asset

Primary Location Base Pay Range: Canada - Toronto (Sheppard Ave) $96,100 - $146,100 (CAD).Base Pay Range in Ontario: $86,400 - $144,000 (CAD).This job is eligible for an annual incentive bonus.This posting is for an existing vacancy.
