We’re looking for a Content Designer II to join our Content Design team. As a Content Designer II at Lightspeed, you’ll collaborate with Product Designers, Product Managers, and other Content Designers to improve our documentation and enhance the overall product experience for our users. Ideally, you should have a background in content management systems (knowledge base) and UX copy creation within a product environment. With a focus on eCommerce / B2B, familiarity with products related to wholesaling platforms, retail, POS systems, online payments, and order management is preferred.

What you’ll be doing:

  1. Work directly with Designers and Product Managers to create clear and consistent product content for new and existing features.
  2. Develop, edit, and review strategic content for our customer Knowledge Base, including help articles, FAQs, release notes, and reference materials.
  3. Align content with current Go-To-Market strategies and processes for monthly release documentation and features.
  4. Create in-product workflows to assist onboarding and feature adoption.
  5. Conduct content audits to identify gaps in existing Knowledge Base content and product copy.
  6. Work within an Agile environment across multiple teams.
  7. Identify user needs using data and feedback from various teams (Customer Success, Support, Retail) and prioritize content accordingly.
  8. Standardize terminology across different content types.
  9. Test features to provide usability feedback and improve user experience.
  10. Partner with Design, Engineering, and Product Management to familiarize with new features and how they enhance customer experience.

What you need to bring:

  • 3+ years of experience in Content Design.
  • Experience with ECommerce and/or B2B SaaS platforms.
  • Degree or qualifications in English, Design, Technical Communications, or a related field.
  • Experience designing and delivering customer-facing UX content.
  • Experience creating and maintaining editorial standards in a style guide.
  • Experience using Content Management Systems (CMS) like Zendesk, Confluence, etc.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A proactive, open-minded attitude towards problem-solving and results delivery.
  • Ability to multitask, organize work, and operate in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities using Agile methodologies.
  • Collaborative mindset, working effectively across teams.
  • Creativity and a culture of innovation focused on adding value.
