Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Content Claims Specialist - Field to join our team in Oshawa, ON, Canada. The position location is flexible, offering in-office, hybrid, or fully remote working arrangements.

Role

The role of Content Claims Specialists is multifaceted, focusing primarily on four key areas of edjuster’s content claims handling operations:

  1. Act as an intermediary between the Insurance Company's property adjusters and policyholders, assisting with inventory and valuations of total loss contents caused by theft, water, fire, and other perils.
  2. Ensure accurate and timely processing of content claims using edjuster’s claims handling methodology and its content claims processing platform, exclaim.
  3. Operate from a home-based office, with daily/weekly assignments of new claim files.
  4. Record all daily claims handling activities, including hours worked and task details, fulfilling administrative duties.
Responsibilities

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  1. Conduct onsite visits to meet with adjusters, policyholders, and vendors to inventory total loss contents.
  2. Maintain quality and turnaround standards for all claims in line with company performance metrics.
  3. Coordinate resources with other edjuster teams to efficiently complete inventory and LKQ valuation of contents.
  4. Provide timely updates on the claims process to adjusters and policyholders.
  5. Complete and submit detailed work and time logs daily.
  6. Maintain claim notes in the company platform, exclaim.
  7. Ensure timely and accurate completion and pricing of outstanding items, adhering to LKQ standards.
  8. Represent edjuster professionally, promoting its brand and reputation.
  9. Work in diverse conditions, including cold, heat, rain, and debris.
Qualifications
  • Secondary School diploma.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in the property claims industry is an asset.
  • Provide an adequate, noise-free workspace.
  • Own high-speed internet service.
  • Company-provided equipment, including a laptop, must be cared for and maintained.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license are required.
  • Regular travel to loss sites; occasional overnight travel, with expenses covered by edjuster.
  • Strong skills in Office 365 and Windows 10.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Adaptability to change and new technology.
  • Willingness to learn and improve continuously.
