The Project Sales Specialist will support customer’s projects from start to finish inclusive of expediting installation, special orders and working closely with stores, vendors, service providers and the field team. Associates in this position will provide the highest level of customer service support to customers where substantial product knowledge and advanced selling skills are critical to success. Project Sales Specialists will assess customer needs and guide customer decisions as well as provide timely follow-ups to ensure sales conversion. Associates in this role are required to provide excellent customer support via customer’s preferred contact method following the outlined timeline expectations.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Managing Customer Project:
  • Consistently demonstrate selling skills to effectively manage pipeline and cycle time.
  • Ability to prioritize inbound leads, measures, tracking progress, and execution of conversion to sale.
  • Own the customer experience and overcome objections by utilizing available tools and resources.
  • Consultatively sell products and services by effectively communicating their benefits and demonstrating how they address specific customer requirements.
  • Effectively balance several complex projects simultaneously, while ensuring an excellent customer experience and adhering to process and timeline expectations.
  • Support in sales retention and recovery processes to optimize customer loyalty and experiences.
  • Able to work independently with minimum direction as well as in a team environment.
  • Customer Service:
    • Develop strong and cohesive relationships with customers and internal partners by understanding their unique needs, challenges, and project goals.
    • Conduct consistent and timely follow-ups via customer’s preferred method of communication throughout the project, to optimize customer experience, drive loyalty and generate referral business.
    • Communicates effectively to ensure the customer understands and agrees with the project scope, timelines, and steps to completion.
    • Required to act with empathy and sensitivity while maintaining a passion for assessing customer needs.
  • Documentation:
    • Craft and provide compelling sales packages that outline project scope, timelines, any relevant documents and expected outcomes to customers.
    • Identify process opportunities and exhibit entrepreneurial spirit by providing solutions to leaders to continuously improve the customer experience.

    Ideal candidate will possess analytical skills with the ability to conceptualize a variety of different outcomes. Exceptional organizational, time management and follow-up skills are essential. Relationship building skills and networking abilities to deal with internal and external stakeholders, and effectively contribute to cross-functional teams.

    Travel Requirements:

    No travel is required for this role.


    Physical Requirements:

    Requires sitting at a workstation, majority of the day, with minimal standing. Operating a computer and other technology.

    Independent


    Working Conditions:

    Sedentary work. Associates are expected to ensure they have an established work area in their home free from domestic noise and distractions during the full length of their assigned work shift. Work a flexible schedule, requiring both daytime and evening availability and shifts could be scheduled on any day of the week.


    Minimum Education:

    The knowledge, skills and abilities typically acquired through the completion of a bachelor's degree/college diploma program or equivalent program in a field of study related to the job.


    Minimum Years of Work Experience:

    Internal Candidates: Must fulfill minimum time-in-position (1 year). External Candidates: 3-5 years customer experience required, preferably in a sales-driven environment, call centre operations or similar experience preferred.

    Experience with SAP ERP & COM is a definite asset.
