Position Summary

We are seeking a Consumer Proposal Administrator to negotiate proposal terms, chair creditor meetings, prepare legal documents, and liaise with stakeholders, including the Official Receiver.

Responsibilities

  1. Negotiate with clients and creditors regarding proposal offers.
  2. Chair creditor meetings and prepare minutes and documents.
  3. Prepare amended documents, file with the Official Receiver, and communicate with stakeholders.
  4. Gather supporting information for proper administration of files.
  5. Coordinate with the administration and front-office teams.
  6. Ensure files are complete and follow up on outstanding documents.
  7. Understand legal requirements across provincial jurisdictions.
  8. Maintain confidentiality and participate in ongoing training.
  9. Resolve issues with the Official Receiver's office.
  10. Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  1. Post-secondary education or equivalent experience; Insolvency Administrator Certificate an asset.
  2. Experience in insolvency administration or customer service.
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  4. Attention to detail and multitasking ability.
  5. High computer literacy; familiarity with Ascend is an asset.
  6. Strong organizational and time management skills.
  7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
