The Opportunity: We are seeking a Senior Engineer, Reliability in Sudbury, Ontario. This permanent position involves improving asset performance by implementing and optimizing the availability and reliability of milling, tailings, and water plant facilities.

Responsibilities include:

  • Promoting and ensuring compliance with Vale's Health, Safety, and Environmental standards
  • Implementing and managing a reliability program encompassing systems, processes, procedures, and standards to enhance business value
  • Addressing asset reliability issues and standardizing methodologies for asset uptime
  • Collaborating with management to ensure compliance and risk mitigation
  • Recommending strategic investments in equipment, technology, and initiatives
  • Developing asset strategies using tools like RCM and FMECAs
  • Identifying critical spares and advising on stock levels
  • Working with operations, maintenance, and project teams to determine operating standards and maintenance plans

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree in mechanical or electrical engineering
  • Preferred certifications: CMRP and/or MMP
  • 5+ years of experience in maintenance, reliability, or engineering
  • Experience with equipment maintenance, failure investigations, and infrastructure inspection
  • Skills in FMEA, RCM, and metrics management (OEE, MTBF, MTTR)
  • Proficiency in MS Office and CMMS systems (SAP)

Location: Greater Sudbury, ON

Workplace: On site

Salary: $32.00 to $81.00 per hour

Terms: Permanent, full-time, immediate start
