What you’ll be doing
As a member of the Third Party Governance Office (TPGO), the Consultant, Third-Party Strategy and Governance plays a critical role for bridging development principles to effectively design and communicate business and technical needs to our technology partners. You will incorporate design thinking, process design and user experience techniques to create intuitive system designs that enhance user satisfaction.
At CIBC we enable the work environment most optimal for you to thrive in your role. You’ll have the flexibility to manage your work activities within a hybrid work arrangement where you’ll spend 1-3 days per week on-site, while other days will be remote
How you’ll succeed
Break Down Features into User Stories: Work directly with the PM and Development Lead to translate high-level features and business requirements into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria that can be executed in development cycles.
Focus on Innovation and Simplification: By optimizing the flow of value through the multi-team Agile environment and progress towards objectives, goals, and commitments, while removing impediments, resolving conflicts and managing risks and issues.
Participate in Agile Ceremonies: Engage in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives, while monitoring progress and addressing any blockers.
Support the product team with key deliverables : Working with stakeholders, business partners, and analytics to understand the business/user problem and develop a product backlog that solves for user problems, meets business objectives and prioritizes work with the maximum value
Stay Current with Best Practices. Our team constantly looks for ways to improve user experience and insights consumption, staying up to date with industry best practices in development/data design, and user experience.
Who you are
You have demonstrated experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver successful product outcomes, conducting internal meetings, and analyzing internal feedback to drive improvements. You have acted as a Product Owner, defining product vision, strategy, and roadmap, while utilizing data analytics and JIRA to manage product backlogs, create user stories, and track progress effectively. Additionally, you have experience in facilitating stakeholder communication and ensuring alignment on product goals throughout the development process.
You have a degree/diploma in Business Management, finance and/or related experience in Project Management/Product Ownership
