What you’ll be doing

As a member of the Third Party Governance Office (TPGO), the Consultant, Third-Party Data Governance plays a critical role in ensuring effective data governance practices. This position focuses on maintaining TPGO’s data service agreements (DSA), critical data elements (CDEs), and performing overall data governance activities to enhance data quality and compliance across TPGO systems.

How you’ll succeed
  1. Focus on Innovation and Simplification. Strive for continual enhancement of data quality and contribute to system and governance process simplification.
  2. Data Governance. Ensure compliance with data stewardship, data ownership, and data dictionary definitions for all TPGO systems. Perform metric deconstructions, maintain an inventory of critical data elements (CDEs), conduct assessments to ensure adherence to policies, and act as a liaison to promote a culture of data stewardship and accountability.
  3. Data Sharing Agreements. Collaborate with data requestors to understand their needs, identify necessary data fields for DSAs, and ensure ongoing compliance with governance standards.
  4. Curious and Creative. Be innovative, interpret themes and insights, and design experiences that make complex insights more intuitive.
  5. Stay Current with Best Practices. Keep up to date with industry best practices in data governance to improve user experience and insights consumption.
Who you are
  • Experience in Data Analysis tools (Microsoft Power BI, Advanced Microsoft Excel). Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in Data Governance frameworks, best practices, and/or Risk Management.
  • Education. Degree or diploma in Business, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Attention to detail. You notice things others might miss, and your critical thinking informs your decisions.
  • Adaptability. You embrace change and continuously evolve your thinking and work methods.
