Job Overview

Frimley Health NHS Foundation Trust invites applications for a Consultant Radiologist with a specialist interest in Breast Imaging.

The Parapet Unit, a dedicated standalone Breast Surgical Outpatient and Imaging facility in Windsor, provides high-quality Breast Screening and Symptomatic services. It is recognized as a flagship service for the Trust, meeting national targets and praised for good practice.

The successful candidate will join a cohesive team of Consultant Breast Radiologists, Advanced Practitioners, Surgeons, and Oncologists. The general radiology and on-call services are based at Wexham Park Hospital in Slough and Heatherwood Hospital in Ascot.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Full GMC registration
  • FRCR or equivalent
  • Entry on the Specialist Register or eligible within 6 months
  • Knowledge of legislation relating to Radiology (e.g., IR(ME)R 2000)
  • Evidence of CPD
  • Knowledge of RCR Professional Code of Conduct and latest guidance

Person Specification

  • Essential : GMC registration, FRCR, knowledge of relevant legislation, professional guidance, and broad radiology experience
  • Desirable : MRCP or equivalent, research experience
  • Competencies : Evaluate practice, innovative thinking, communication, teamwork, leadership, organization, and time management
