What you’ll be doing

The Optimization Model Development team is responsible for the design and development of data-driven credit risk management strategies for all stages of the credit life cycle. Reporting to the Senior Director, the Quantitative Consultant will be tasked with developing advanced statistical models that evaluate credit risk across a variety of retail credit portfolios including credit cards, personal loans and lines of credit, residential mortgages, small business loans, and collections. This requires expertise in statistical software such as SAS Enterprise Guide, SAS Enterprise Miner, R or Python to develop various predictive and inference models and conduct supplemental statistical analyses. The successful candidate will also write technical model documentation to support the model validation process and maintain adequate model governance standards. Additionally, the Quantitative Analyst will need to engage with various partner units to understand business problems and communicate model results.

  • Technical expertise. Develop and execute statistical/machine learning models for all retail risk systems. Understand and generate critical actionable insights from data.

  • Effective communication. Engage with business partners to understand business needs and develop suitable modeling and analytics solutions.
Who you are
  • You have a graduate degree in quantitative fields (Statistics, Math, Analytics, Economics, Engineering, Data Science). You can also demonstrate expertise in SAS or other advanced data modeling tools.Experience in FICO Decision Optimizer is a major asset.
  • You can demonstrate experience inmodeling, including work experience with cleaning, merging, modeling and extracting insights from data. Experience of retail credit risk strategies, particularly acquisitions or account management, is an asset.
