Background on Venn

RTV's Venn ecosystem is the organization's data and technology unit, supporting program design, monitoring, evaluation, and learning. Venn develops advanced analytics, AI, and digital tools, including:

• Custom software solutions for data insights and decision support
• AI-powered knowledge products
• Planning and program design software

The core product is the Implementation Application, a microservices-based tool for frontline staff and partners, evolving into a comprehensive program delivery platform with integrated analytics and AI support.

Role Description

RTV seeks a Product Management Consultant with extensive experience to lead and oversee product strategy and execution for Venn. The role focuses on refining product management practices, ensuring user-centered, scalable, and impact-driven solutions, and positioning RTV as a leader in technology-enabled development.

Key Responsibilities

Product Strategy & Vision

• Define and align Venn's long-term product strategy with RTV's mission and impact goals
• Develop an integrated ecosystem connecting data analytics, learning resources, and decision tools
• Establish success metrics for product adoption and impact

Execution & Delivery Support

• Oversee product lifecycle from conception to optimization
• Implement agile practices and continuous feedback mechanisms
• Ensure usability, security, and compliance standards
• Guide integration of AI, machine learning, and analytics into products

User-Research and Product Understanding

• Conduct field research and stakeholder interviews
• Identify barriers and propose improvements based on insights
• Utilize A/B testing to refine features
• Develop user-friendly products for diverse stakeholders

Cross-Unit Integration & Collaboration

• Advise RTV leadership on product structuring and scaling
• Ensure collaboration across Venn teams
• Explore co-development and licensing opportunities
• Work with IT on security protocols

Capacity Building & Team Development

• Assess organizational needs and develop training materials
• Define roles and responsibilities for future product leadership

Required Skills and Expertise

• 10+ years in product management, especially in data and digital solutions in development contexts
• Experience with data-centric products and AI components
• Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams
• Strong knowledge of agile methodologies and impact-driven tech
• Experience in international development or low-connectivity environments is a plus
