Job summary

The City of Toronto is seeking a Consultant Policy Planning & Projects CS to develop and implement detailed plans, and to lead projects aligned with divisional and corporate strategies. You will provide guidance to the Toronto child care and early years forum community and serve as the main liaison to the general manager on broad matters.

Applicants should have post-secondary education in public policy and administration and substantial experience in strategic policy.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary education in public policy and administration or a related field.
• Extensive experience in strategic policy and planning, preferably within government.
• Experience in preparing complex reports, briefings, and correspondence for senior management.
• Experience in program integration related to the provision of human services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement detailed plans and recommend policies regarding programs’ specific requirements.
• Lead and manage assigned projects related to divisional/cluster/corporate strategies and issues assigned by the general manager.
• Provide advice and support to the Toronto child care and early year’s forum community.
