Intact Financial Corporation in Montreal seeks a Consultant, Reporting & Analytics to join the People Analytics team. You will deliver metrics from Workday and Power BI to support HR strategy and help colleagues thrive and top talent stay engaged.

Reporting to the Manager, People Analytics, you will develop an org-wide reporting strategy, automate HR data analysis, create dashboards, advise HR and executives, and train users.

Qualifications

• University degree in relevant fields or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 2 years with building reports in Workday, PowerBI, and BI analytics.
• HR experience is an asset.
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving abilities.
• Bilingual in Quebec English/French required.

Salary range (but not limited to):

74,800 - 91,400

Annual bonus target, based on the base salary, with a potential payout of up to double the target (subject to personal and company performance):

7.5%

Salary for the candidate will be determined taking into consideration a number of factors including: experience, skills, qualifications, anticipated contribution to role, internal equity, etc. The salary range presented above is based on a 35-hour workweek and would represent a majority of different candidate profiles. However, we encourage candidates who may fall outside of this range to apply as well.

About the role

We’re looking for a Consultant, Reporting & Analytics to join our growing team!

As a member of the People Analytics function, you will play an important role in the delivery of metrics from Workday and Power BI that will support Intact’s HR strategy; one that is focused on creating an inspiring workplace where our colleagues can thrive, and top talent want to be a part of. Reporting to the Manager, People Analytics, your work will be guided by our three areas of focus:

• Data Governance: Elaborate processes to facilitate access to readily available quality HR data for HR and business leaders.
• Anticipate and solve complex business issues using an analytical approach.
• Empower HR to make data‑driven decisions by providing the right tools along ongoing support and training.

What you’ll do here:

• Participate in the development and enhancement of Workday and Power BI reporting with a focus on developing an org‑wide reporting strategy.
• Implement and automate HR data analysis, preparing reports, and data visualizations for storytelling.
• Advise and support the HR community and executives, partner by understanding and identify their needs and recommending the appropriate tools.
• Define key indicators and prepare dashboards to identify issues and support initiatives.
• Support user training and change management activities.

What you bring to the table:

• University degree in mathematics, statistics, computer science, data analysis, business analysis or human resources or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the role.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with building reports in Workday, PowerBI, and in business intelligence, data analytics or HR analytics.
• Work experience in an HR role is an asset.
• Strong data analysis, data verification and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of a data visualization tool.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to present operational problems in a precise and concise manner to an audience, and to solve them effectively.
• Comfortable working with all levels of management and collaborate with various stakeholders and demonstrate excellent collaboration abilities.
• For candidates located in Quebec, bilingualism is required considering the necessity to interact on a regular basis with English‑speaking colleagues across the country.
• No Canadian work experience required, but must have authorization to work in Canada.
