Consultant, Facilities Management Procurement (FMP)

Full Time | Surrey, BC | Fraser Health Authority

Salary: CAD $38.12 – $54.80 / hour

Job Summary

We are currently looking to fill a full‑time opportunity for a Consultant, Facilities Management Procurement (FMP). The role is part of the Facilities Management Procurement team, responsible for managing procurement operations, developing processes, and ensuring compliance with public procurement principles to deliver best value for Fraser Health.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate day‑to‑day procurement activities under Manager direction, prioritizing, scheduling, and developing process improvements.
  • Ensure timely acquisition of construction‑related products, equipment, services, including supplier pre‑qualification and contract renewal.
  • Develop, implement, and administer department standards and procedures, simplifying workflow and ensuring regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain systems that ensure procurement follows public procurement principles of fairness, transparency, and best overall value.
  • Implement purchasing practices consistent with provincial legislation, FH policies, and quality assurance programs.
  • Operate an effective purchasing system, expediting purchase orders, evaluating contract and vendor performance, and monitoring delivery schedules.
  • Lead purchases of technically complex project requirements, negotiating best price, availability, and delivery.
  • Represent FH on committees, public relations activities, and liaise with internal departments to resolve procurement issues.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Commerce or a related discipline.
  • Three (3) to five (5) years of recent related purchasing management experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal skills, and team building orientation.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments and in a highly dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in relevant software applications and physical ability to perform duties.
