What you'll be doing

The Data Mesh Enablement team helps our partners onboard, discover, access, govern, and responsibly use data products to support analytics, artificial intelligence, reporting, and enterprise-wide reuse. As a Consultant, Data Mesh Enablement & EDGE Onboarding, you'll support the adoption and day-to-day operation of EDGE as a reusable, governed enterprise data capability. You'll coordinate onboarding activities from initial intake through product registration, access enablement, and ongoing use, while working closely with business partners, Product Owners, Data Owners, Data Stewards, Enterprise Architecture, Data Governance, Information Security, platform engineering, and delivery teams. You'll also help improve metadata, catalogue, and self-service processes that strengthen discoverability, trust, and reuse across enterprise data assets. In this role, you'll contribute to a well-governed and efficient onboarding experience by supporting reporting, workflow improvements, and operational excellence across the EDGE ecosystem.

How you'll succeed

Onboarding and intake coordination - Conduct intake assessments and exploratory discussions to understand business needs and guide teams through the appropriate onboarding, data access, ingestion, product registration, or enablement pathway. Coordinate activities, dependencies, stakeholder follow-ups, and status updates to support timely onboarding progress.

Governance and product registration - Review data product registration requests for completeness, including business purpose, ownership, lineage, consumers, source awareness, metadata, and supporting documentation. Support the maintenance of enterprise inventory records and help ensure registrations align with data product and federated governance standards.

Metadata and catalogue support - Validate metadata associated with data elements, tables, views, schemas, and registered data products. Support catalogue and dashboard operations through monitoring, reconciliation, issue triage, and process improvements that enhance data quality, discoverability, and trust.

Self-service enablement - Develop and maintain onboarding guides, frequently asked questions, job aids, training materials, process maps, and other self-service resources. Turn recurring questions and support themes into clear documentation, workflow enhancements, and backlog opportunities.

Access and consumer support - Guide teams through access and entitlement requirements and support standard access patterns, group templates, and request-routing processes. Help ensure onboarding and access information is captured in a controlled, traceable, and user-friendly way.

Operational improvement and reporting - Maintain reporting that tracks onboarding activity, product registration, ownership, adoption, and outstanding actions. Identify opportunities to simplify manual work and improve repeatable processes using tools such as Jira, SharePoint, Power Automate, Excel, Structured Query Language (SQL), Python, and application programming interfaces (APIs).

Who you are

You have relevant experience. You bring experience supporting data onboarding, governance, operations, or enablement activities in a large and complex environment. You’re comfortable coordinating across business and technology teams to move work forward. You give meaning to data. You enjoy working with metadata, ownership records, lineage, and operational reporting to identify gaps, resolve discrepancies, and improve decision-making. You can interpret detailed information and communicate it clearly to different audiences. You're motivated by collective success. You work well with cross-functional partners and know how to build strong working relationships across governance, architecture, engineering, security, and delivery teams. You collaborate effectively to support shared outcomes. You know that details matter. You bring strong attention to detail when reviewing registrations, validating information, maintaining records, and supporting controlled operational processes. You can manage multiple activities while maintaining accuracy. You're digitally savvy. You’re comfortable using and improving tools and processes that support workflow automation, reporting, and self-service enablement. Experience with Jira, SharePoint, Power Automate, Excel, SQL, Python, or related tools is an asset. You live your values. You bring high standards, genuine care to your relationships, and want to grow with an employer that shares your values and brings out your best.
