What you'll be doing

You will be joining CIBC’s Client Account Management Technology team, where you will lead complex projects to design strategic solutions. As a Consultant, Business Systems Analyst (BSA), you will support end-to-end project implementation and act as a subject matter expert in both business and technology. Conduct effective impact assessments of triage items, communicate root cause analysis, and provide recommendations for remediation. Prepare and validate solution design documents, ensuring clarity around scope, requirements, and quality assurance. Engage in governance activities related to vendor management, ensuring compliance and effective oversight. Support day-to-day application activities, focusing on audit and compliance for CAM application. Work with a diverse team to create and implement innovative solutions that enhance the client experience.

How you'll succeed

  • Understanding and documenting requirements - Work closely with business partners to gather complicated business requirements and facilitate solution design discussions to ensure you meet project needs. Create strong relationships, lead discussions, listen and ask the right questions to ensure solutions meet requirements.

  • Solution design - Assemble client-focused solutions that meet business requirements. Prepare and validate solution design documents around areas such as scope clarification, solution requirements, and quality assurance.

  • Leading and mentoring – Support end-to-end project implementation as a subject matter expert, and provide guidance to a diverse team of technology and project professionals. Maintain a collaborative work environment and support team members to resolve organizational, operational, and process problems.

Who you are

  • You can demonstrate 4+years of experience working as a Business Systems Consultant, preferably within the Financial Services industry. It is an asset if you have experience withClient Account Management or DRS applications.

  • You have experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies, stakeholder management, excellent documentation skills, flexibility to jump in to support testing as needed.

  • You have a degree/diploma in Computer Science, Business, and/or a related field, It’s an asset if you have experience with Agile methodologies, and Application and/or Architecture Development.
