Your scope of practice will include:

  • Complex airway management
  • Acute and post-operative pain management
  • Obstetric anaesthesia, including epidurals and emergency caesarean sections

The Health Service

The hospital is a regional referral centre providing 24/7 emergency care to a large catchment area and supporting surrounding hospitals and nursing posts via telehealth services.

A major infrastructure redevelopment is currently underway, including:

  • High Dependency Unit (HDU)
  • Mental Health Inpatient Unit

This redevelopment presents a unique opportunity for anaesthetists to contribute to the growth of high-acuity regional services. Dual-qualified Anaesthetist/Intensivists will have the opportunity to help shape the future of regional critical care.
