Job summary

Eastern Drainage Ltd based in Shubenacadie, NS is seeking a Construction Worker who is self-motivated and has good interpersonal skills. Salary ranges from $18.00 to $25.00 hourly, with 35 to 50 hours per week, and the position is permanent full-time.

Responsibilities include loading and unloading materials, assisting operators, pipe alignment, site cleanup, equipment maintenance, traffic control, and outdoor work in dusty conditions. Training will be provided.

Qualifications

• English fluency is required.
• No formal education required; training provided.
• First Aid and CPR certification required.
• Able to handle weight up to 23 kg (50 lbs).
• Own transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Willing to travel overnight if needed.

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials.

• Remove rubble and debris from sites.
• Tend or feed construction machines and equipment.
• Direct traffic near construction sites.
• Maintain equipment and assist with setup/dismantlement.

• The candidate must load, unload, and transport construction materials.

• The candidate must remove rubble and other debris from construction sites.
• The candidate will be responsible for tending or feeding construction machines and equipment.
• The candidate will be responsible for directing traffic near construction sites.
• The candidate must maintain the equipment.
• The candidate must determine the installation and layout procedures.
• The candidate will be responsible for assisting with equipment setup and dismantlement.

Job Requirements

• The candidate should be fluent in English language.
• There are no standard education requirements such as a bachelor’s degree, a certificate, or a diploma.
• Training will be provided to the selected candidate.
• The candidate must have a First Aid and CPR certificate.
