Responsibilities & Tasks

• Load, unload, and transport construction materials
• Erect and dismantle concrete forms, scaffolding, ramps, catwalks, shoring, and barricades
• Mix, pour, and spread materials such as concrete and asphalt
• Assist in pipeline construction, including aligning pipes and drilling/blasting rock
• Assist in framing houses, erecting walls, and building roofs
• Level earth to fine grade specifications
• Pave and rake asphalt
• Assist in demolishing buildings and cleaning up debris
• Handle chemical spills and contaminants
• Operate and tend construction machinery and equipment
• Direct traffic near construction sites
• Perform emergency roadside repairs
• Maintain sidewalks, streets, roads, and public grounds
• Assist skilled tradespersons
