Job summary

Apex Geomatics is seeking an experienced Construction Surveyor to join our BC Operations in Squamish, BC. You will perform high-precision layouts, operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GNSS, and verify data to QA/QC standards on major projects.

Travel and camp support on a 14/7 schedule are part of the role, with a focus on safety, quality, and teamwork. Minimum 3 years of construction surveying, strong understanding of drawings, and a Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or Civil

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of construction surveying experience.
• Experience with Trimble survey equipment is a strong asset.
• Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Technology is an asset.
• Valid driver’s license is required with a clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Perform high-precision construction layout and as-built surveys.
• Operate Trimble Robotic Total Stations and GNSS.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications to ensure accurate project layout.
• Verify survey data through QA/QC procedures.
• Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, clients, and other trades.
• Prepare field notes, reports, and survey documentation.
• Maintain safety and quality on every project.

What You’ll Do

• Experience with Trimble survey equipment and software is considered a strong asset
• High-precision surveying capabilities using Robotic Total Stations
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and construction plans
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
• Valid Class 5 Driver’s Licence with a clean driver’s abstract
• Diploma in Geomatics Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or equivalent experience is considered an asset
