Job summary

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor, SMP to join our growing project team in Prince George, BC, Canada. You will manage the quality, safety and contractor performance across the site, ensuring compliance with client and regulatory requirements.

Ideal candidates bring site construction supervision experience in mineral processing or infrastructure, with strong leadership and communication skills; experience with tanks and piping installations is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Strong background in site construction and supervision across mineral processing plant/infrastructure.
• Experience with mill, crusher, agitator and pump installations as a tradesperson.
• Strong OHSE, IR and HR knowledge and alignment with standards.
• Proven contract management and controls experience.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organisational and leadership abilities.
• Ability to delegate and plan effectively.
• Ability to uphold company values and work with limited supervision.
• Experience as an iron worker or pipefitter is essential.
• Experience supervising tank erections and piping installations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage the quality of output of the allocated project site discipline activities ensuring alignment with client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Oversee contractor technical competence to meet client and project requirements per contract, drawings and specs.
• Manage procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to ensure efficient site work and consistent high standards.
• Ensure safety, environment, community and industrial relations and quality plans are adhered to by the contractor.

Lycopodium is currently recruiting for a Construction Supervisor, SMP to join our growing project team in Prince George, BC, Canada.

The tasks you'll perform

• Manage the quality of output of the allocated project site discipline activities including alignment with company, Client, regulatory and contractual requirements.
• Manage the technical competence of the discipline contractor(s) ensuring that the allocated site activities meet the requirements of the Client and their projects in accordance with the contract, drawings and specifications.
• Manage the various procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to ensure the contractor’s site team works efficiently and maintains a consistent approach and consistently high standard of work.
• Ensure safety, environmental, community and industrial relations, and quality plans and procedures are adhered to by the contractor.

The expertise you'll bring

• Strong background in site construction and supervision with a broad multidisciplinary base in mineral processing plant / infrastructure construction.
• Previous mill, crusher, agitator, and pump installation experience as a tradesperson.
• Strong background, training and awareness of statutory and industry standards in OHSE, IR and HR.
• Strong background in the technical and quality control requirements of the specific work discipline.
• Demonstrate sound knowledge in contract management and controls.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organisational skills.
• Managerial-leadership ability.
• Capacity to delegate appropriately.
• Capacity to clear thinking and planning.
• Capacity to evaluate work practices, implement and suggest alternatives and refinements where necessary.

• Experience as an iron worker or pipefitter would be essential.
• Experience supervising erection of tanks as well as piping installation strongly preferred.
