n.Wallace & Company Ltd., located in Surrey, BC, is a leading Construction Manager and General Contractor seeking a Construction Superintendent with 5+ years of experience in commercial, light industrial, and healthcare construction. Our projects typically range from $1 million to $15 million, are diverse, and are generally located throughout the mainland.

The ideal candidate should possess the following professional qualities and skills :

• Carpentry background with progressive experience in foreman and supervisory positions
• Experience in concrete forming, tilt-up, and / or wood framing (would be an asset)
• Healthcare renovation experience (would be an asset)
• Ability to review documents and drawings for accuracy and constructability
• Ability to identify discrepancies in contract scopes of work and disciplines
• Strong planning and project schedule management skills
• Maintain cost control, quality, and schedule on construction sites
• Proficient in construction documentation requirements and processes
• Strong understanding of WCB requirements and safety practices
• Ability to work with our Health and Safety Coordinator to manage and coordinate the safety of our workforce and trades in accordance with our Health and Safety Program
• Adherence to project documents and regulatory agencies
• Computer literate in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and Project
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Proficient in detail orientation and problem-solving
• Ability to resolve issues in a non-confrontational, relationship-oriented manner
• Ability to work both as a leader and as part of a team
• Availability to travel out-of-town (an asset)
• Innovative and conceptual thinking
• Client service focus, as we have a high repeat and referral client base

Remuneration will be based on the candidate’s experience. Benefits include life insurance, group health & dental, vehicle allowance, and profit share.
