The Superintendent will play a critical role in overseeing and driving various initiatives and projects originating from A2Ski Industrial LP. Reporting directly to the Senior Project Manager, this role is responsible for ensuring the successful execution of these projects, aligning them with our core values, and maintaining our reputation for excellence.

The ideal candidate will ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest quality standards. This role requires a strong leader who can define project goals, develop detailed plans, coordinate team activities, effectively communicate with stakeholders and build strong rapport with site personnel.

Responsibilities:

Supervision and Coordination:

·Direct supervision of all personnel working on self-perform projects.

·Daily contact with the Foran/Gmining team to ensure project paperwork is in order

·Oversight of subcontractors' day-to-day planning and execution and maintaining relationships

Equipment and Material Management:

·Tracking and coordinating equipment usage and maintenance

·Ensuring tools, PPE, consumables, and materials are secure and in good condition

·Ensure security of onsite Wifi access (with IT support)

Safety Oversight:

·Responsible for safety paperwork and incident investigations

·Hosting daily toolbox meetings and orienting new employees/subcontractors on safety protocols

Site Management:

·Maintaining work areas, ensuring cleanliness and orderliness

·Monitoring and controlling Wi-Fi access on-site

Reporting and Documentation:

·Generating daily LEMs (Labour, Equipment, Materials) and obtaining client approval

·Preparing detailed weekly reports for the Senior Project Manager and A2SKI's President

·Work with the PC, Admin and/or payroll to submit weekly timesheets

Support Functions:

·Mentoring and training A2SKI employees to foster skill development and gain confidence and growth

·Work with the project manager on producing estimates as required

oDetermine crew size, equipment, and timelines

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Journeyperson, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of progressive site supervisory experience on heavy industrial sites or mine sites
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage project budgets and timelines effectively
  • Strong computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making
