Job summary

Silverline Construction Ltd. is seeking a competent Site Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites on site with a Journeyman Carpenter background and Canadian experience.

The role requires leadership, safety leadership, and the ability to read drawings and plans. You will be responsible for scheduling, supervision, budget monitoring, and ensuring safety and quality standards are met while working alongside the crew.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as construction foreman in Canada.
• Understand electrical and hydraulic systems.
• Ability to read drawings, plans and blueprints.
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills.
• Ability to communicate and report effectively.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate tasks according to priorities and plans.
• Produce schedules and monitor attendance of crew.
• Allocate general and daily responsibilities.
• Supervise and train workers and tradespeople.
• Ensure manpower and resources are adequate.
• Guarantee all safety precautions and quality standards are met.
• Supervise the use of machinery and equipment.
• Monitor expenditure and ensure it remains within budget.
• Resolve problems when they arise.
• Report on progress to managers, engineers etc.

We work primarily with steel buildings but also do renovations and other types of new builds.
You MUST be a Journeyman Carpenter
We are looking for a competent Site Superintendent to coordinate operations and oversee workers at construction sites. As the point of reference of both workers and management, you will be a key person for the completion of a project.
NOTE: You must be able to work on site alongside the crew. This is not an office position.
A Site Superintendent has a solid background in the field. Your leadership skills and your extensive CANADIAN BASED experience have earned you the ability to not only direct the work of others but work alongside them as needed. You must be well-organized, be able to make quick decisions and favor safety above everything else.
