An established industry player is on the lookout for a dedicated Site Coordinator to join their team in Toronto. Upside Development, a Toronto based boutique development company, is seeking an enthusiastic motivated individual to hire as a Site Coordinator starting April-May 2019.
The Candidate will assist in managing custom residential renos and new builds, and will directly report to owner of company.
The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting operations by providing coordination, administration, and site coordination on multiple projects. It is an expectation this individual is efficient, resourceful, detail oriented, customer service oriented and possesses the ability to function effectively as part of a team or independently.
Responsibilities:
• Planning aspects of the project including daily activity logging, daily preparation of the job site, coordination and oversight of trades.
• Supervising site construction activities to ensure project progress according to provided plans, including:
• Facilitating deliveries/pickups and inventory management onsite and in office
• Acting as a liaison between design team and trades working to ensure strong trade relations with existing partners and fostering relationships with potential partners
• Maintaining positive relationship with clients, including escalation of issues when appropriate
• Communicating with office to manage procurement, design details and administrative tasks; paper management/tracking required
• Coordinating occupancy and turnover of building with all other team members, assisting in the smooth transition of projects
• Regularly travelling within the GTA to required locations (85-90% of job onsite and 10-15% in office)
Qualifications
• Some prior knowledge of the construction industry; post-secondary education in a related field is an asset
• Enjoyment of site work in various seasons and weather conditions; candidates will need to be comfortable with physical labour activities on the job year-round.
• Highly organized with exceptional time management skills, ability to organize and process paperwork efficiently within established processes
• A familiarity with reading blueprints, architectural and engineering standards and building practices, including City of Toronto and GTA building codes
• Intermediate computer skills: proficient in the use of email and comfortable with using online tools

• Strong customer service skills, including strong professional communication skills
• A valid G-class driver’s license
