The *Senior Construction Project Manager *is responsible for monitoring and administrating the overall process and progress of projects throughout the construction phase, including scheduling and budget oversight, while contracting, directing, monitoring and evaluating third-party Construction Managers from start to finish to ensure contracts are adhered to. Working with the Site Superintendents, this position ensures that a safe working environment is promoted and Avana?s reputation is successfully maintained. The Senior Construction Project Manager will oversee the work and onsite progress of the third-party Construction Management team, who manage the day-to-day responsibilities of their site teams for all externally managed construction projects. Proactivity, effective communication, diligent and regular follow-up, and being able to hold others accountable for their commitments are vital to success in this role. You will be responsible for the following:*Key Responsibilities:** Lead the development and approval process for project budgets, schedules and scope for all third-party construction-managed projects.* With the support of the Director, Construction, lead the development and execution of the appropriate CCDC contracts that align with Avana requirements and hold the Site Superintendents accountable to the contracts.* Monitor progress against the established schedules, budget and design intent, and identify efficiencies in construction planning and project management, where possible.* Oversee the work and progress of the Site Superintendents to ensure on-time and on-budget project delivery and identify project risks and risk mitigation approaches. Ensure the Site Superintendents are driving to achieve contract requirements.* Report corporately on project administration status, including cost control, schedule control, and change order/cost overage administration.* Ensure the Site Superintendents are effectively managing relationships with contracted trades, vendors, and suppliers to ensure effective on-site management and promote a safe and effective working environment.* Complete site reviews and monitor the work of the Site Superintendents to ensure strong quality control is maintained during construction and is demonstrated in the handover of units for lease-up. Ensure the final product adheres to design specifications.* Ensure effective risk management on each project and work with the guidance of the Director, Construction to support the risk management for Avana?s overall project portfolio.* Facilitate and provide oversight to ensure the Site Superintendents are maintaining the scheduling/delivery of site resources, throughout construction, including but not limited to waste management, utilities, and site safety requirements.* Through effective project management, ensure construction start and end dates are consis
