Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Construction Scheduler with a background in Civil Engineering and road/highway projects to join our Mississauga team. This is a new position intended to support large-scale infrastructure programs.

Qualifications

  • University degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction management or a related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in road, highway, or municipal infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

  • Manages submittal of project schedules from contractors and consultants; conducts critical reviews for accuracy, realism and logic.
  • Evaluates schedule impact of proposed changes per contract terms.
  • Identifies potential and actual project-level schedule conflicts and resolves them with delivery teams.
  • Maintains client-level schedules and aligns interfaces into the master program schedule.
  • Collaborates with project teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collects data and performs productivity analysis on manpower and budget constraints.
  • Conducts regular schedule reviews with project managers and stakeholders.

Functional Responsibilities:

  • Manages the submittal of project schedules from the contractors and consultants and undertakes critical reviews to confirm that they are accurate, realistic, and logical.
  • Evaluates the schedule impact of proposed changes to the projects and/or consultancy agreements in accordance with the contract terms.
  • Identifies potential and actual project-level schedule conflicts and works with the project delivery teams to resolve them.
  • Maintains client level schedules and collaborates with other schedulers to align and integrate schedule interfaces feed into the master program schedule.
  • Collaborate with project teams to define scope, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Collects data and produces productivity analysis on manpower, labor hour, quantities requirements versus budget limitations.
  • Conduct regular schedule reviews with project managers and stakeholders to ensure alignment with engineering workflows and basis construction methodology.
  • Knowledgeable of planning and scheduling concepts and principles
  • Understands CPM scheduling concepts and principles.
Qualifications

University degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction management or a related field, with a minimum of 4 years of experience in road, highway, or municipal infrastructure projects.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 7 years of experience in road, highway, or municipal projects. Experience working on MTO projects is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency in Primavera P6.
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, sequencing, and resource management.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
