Job description

As we continue to grow, we are looking for an experienced and well-rounded Construction Scheduler to join our team and help us maintain our commitment to outstanding project management.

We are seeking a highly experienced Construction Scheduler with a minimum of 10 years in the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in scheduling, project coordination, and timeline management for large-scale construction projects. You will play a key role in ensuring our projects stay on track by developing, monitoring, and updating schedules while coordinating with various stakeholders.

Details of the position are as follows:

  • Job Vacancies: One (1)
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Terms of Employment: Full-Time, Permanent

Duties:

  • Work with the Consulting & Project Delivery team based in North America.
  • Work on CPM construction schedules in Oracle Primavera P6.
  • Work independently without requiring micro-management as per a written Delivery Roadmap.
  • Ensure Schedule Quality in all deliverables using deep understanding of the principles of Schedule Quality.
  • Review and understand Construction Drawings, Specifications, and Construction Contracts.
  • Perform Quantity Take-Off.
  • Conceptualize, and develop Baseline Schedules.
  • Perform Schedule Integration into Master Schedules, and manage IMS (Integrated Master Schedules).
  • Perform Schedule Updates through the projects’ lifecycles. Oversee project progress, deliver bi-weekly status updates, and carry out bi-weekly schedule updates.
  • Attend online project meetings and briefings (remote) with clients based in North America.
  • Monitor Schedule Deviations and Variances, and develop corrective actions if required.
  • Perform Schedule Analysis in various formats such as Critical Path Analysis, Baseline Analysis, Variance Analysis. Perform Time Impact Analysis, and Delay Analysis as required.
  • Generate Recovery Schedules, Schedule Fragnets, What-if Scenario Schedules, etc. as required

Position Requirements / Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree or three-year college diploma in civil engineering or construction engineering and management is required.
  • 10+ years of experience in the construction industry is required.
  • 5+ years of experience in
    • Construction scheduling is required.
    • Scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, MS Project) is required.
  • Experience with Linear Schedule.
  • Experience in Oracle Primavera Risk Analysis (OPRA), Synchro, AutoCAD NavisWorks Manage, Revit preferred but not required.
  • 3+ years of experience in Quantity Take-Off and Estimating, required.
  • Strong understanding of Construction:
    • Drawings, Specifications and Construction Contracts.
    • Processes, project management, and timelines.
  • A mindset for Quality. A very deep understanding of the principles of Schedule Quality is required.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Business writing skills. Ability to write narratives and create drafts of reports.
  • Ability to:
    • Work collaboratively with multiple teams and stakeholders.
    • Work independently.
    • Take ownership and accountability for the deliverable.
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Super attention to detail skills.

Language Requirements: English

Work Setting: Office, hybrid work available

Working Conditions:

  • Evening Shifts or Late Night Shifts.
  • Some travel to the United States may be required.
  • Valid passport required.

Wages: CAD $35.00 per hour. Overtime rate paid at CAD $52.50 per hour after 44 hours.

Work Hours: 35 hours per week, with occasional overtime.

Benefits: Participation in standard company benefits plan after probationary period. Discretionary performance based bonus of 20% of base monthly salary. Flexible working hours for a work-life balance. Continuing Professional Development - aid and mentorship for acquiring leading certifications.

Vacation: 10 days
