About the Role:
We’re looking for a driven Territory Sales Representative to lead business growth in the Industrial, Commercial, and Institutional (ICI) construction sector. This role focuses on promoting our industry-leading engineered solutions to contractors, engineering firms, distributors, and end-users. You’ll be instrumental in building relationships, generating demand, and supporting local distribution networks to expand our presence in the ICI market.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales & Client Development:
    Build strong relationships and drive sales by promoting our products and solutions to contractors, specifiers, engineers, developers, and distributors within the ICI sector.
  • Strategic Market Engagement:
    Conduct market research to identify opportunities and competitive trends. Work closely with your manager to develop and refine strategic plans, sales goals, and territory forecasts.
  • Project Pursuit:
    Identify, track, and pursue construction, retrofit, and expansion projects in industrial, commercial, and institutional spaces.
  • Product Promotion:
    Host presentations, conduct job site visits, attend trade shows, and lead training sessions to showcase our value proposition and differentiate our offerings.
  • Distributor & Team Collaboration:
    Strengthen distributor relationships to deliver excellent customer service and collaborate closely with internal teams including engineering, inside sales, and customer support.
  • Pricing & Specifications:
    Manage quotations and ensure they align with customer needs. Guide product specifications and support pricing strategies, recommending special pricing when appropriate.
  • Industry Knowledge & Improvement:
    Stay informed on industry developments and competitor offerings. Participate in continuous improvement and communicate relevant training needs to management.
  • Reporting:
    Provide regular updates on sales activity, market intelligence, and project pipeline. Submit expense reports and progress summaries as required.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Experience:
    2–5 years of outside sales experience, ideally in the ICI construction market. Background in piping, mechanical, HVAC, or plumbing systems is a strong asset.
  • Relationship Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to build rapport with contractors, engineers, and distributors. A passion for customer service and long-term relationship development.
  • Professionalism & Organization:
    Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills. Mechanical aptitude and the ability to navigate diverse customer environments.
  • Education:
    Post-secondary education (college or university) is preferred.
  • Travel & Availability:
    Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time, though actual travel may be less frequent. Some evening availability is expected for client entertainment and relationship-building.
