Job Overview

Reporting to the Director, Construction, as the Construction Safety Officer, you are responsible for monitoring and enforcing compliance with Qualico’s Safety Program at all assigned work sites. The Construction Safety Officer promotes a safe and healthy workplace culture and seeks continuous safety improvements.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include
  • Conducting site safety inspections and documenting all findings.
  • Rectifying unsafe conditions and acts, and taking immediate risk mitigation measures.
  • Leading safety orientations for new employees and enforcing safety policies and legislative requirements.
  • Maintaining documentation of safety meetings for assigned sites.
  • Administering first aid as needed.
  • Supporting internal and external safety audits.
  • Investigating workplace incidents and hazards.
  • Evaluating and improving safety program procedures.

  • Satisfactory criminal record check.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.

Work Conditions
