ESSENTIAL FUNCTION AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide Health & Safety functional leadership, mentorship and guidance to site operations and management personnel
  • Respond to issues relating to health, safety, environment, emergency response, performance metrics and safety management systems for site operations
  • Conduct daily public health & safety inspections, and maintain records
  • Schedule and organize safety training and orientations
  • Support Safety Team in applying defined criteria to review subcontractors safety programs and provide ongoing assistance to subcontractors
  • Administer first aid services to all personnel on the work site as necessary
  • Be involved in Return to Work Program
  • Performs other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • CSO / NCSO Certification
  • Related Post-Secondary Health & Safety Degrees, Diplomas or Certifications are an asset
  • Advanced Occupational First Aid
  • Minimum 3+ years of construction field safety experience, concrete high rise preferred
  • Demonstrated ability to keep detailed and accurate records
  • Working knowledge of MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
