Job summary

Matheson Constructors is seeking a Project Manager to lead assigned construction projects from pursuit to close-out. You will manage cost, schedule, quality, safety, and contractual performance while maintaining strong relationships with owners, consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.

Reporting to the Senior Project Manager or Construction Manager, you will exercise decision-making authority across project functions.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related discipline.
• Minimum five (5) years of progressive project management experience overseeing commercial construction projects (hard bid, AFP, and/or negotiated).
• Experience managing projects within mid-to-large general contracting environments.
• Unionized construction experience is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Lead all phases of project delivery, including planning, execution, monitoring, controlling, and project close-out.
• Oversee project performance relative to cost, schedule, quality, and contractual requirements.
• Provide direction to Project Coordinators and collaborate with Project Superintendents.
• Ensure contract compliance and manage contractual obligations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain project risk registers and monitor financial performance.
