We specialize in mid-rise multi-residential construction and ICI public procurement projects, with our project range spanning from affordable housing to various commercial and institutional developments. Our projects typically range from $10 million to $60 million in value. Additionally, DC&F handles mid to large-scale renovations for diverse commercial applications, including medical offices, sales centers, office spaces, and other commercial fit-up projects.
We are currently seeking an experienced and qualified Project Manager to join our team. We’re looking for a strong public project manager who is capable of leading a small team of coordinators and junior project managers through the project initialization, complete construction process and project closeout. This position will involve managing approximately 5-6 direct reports working under the project manager inclusive of office and site staff.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Manager - Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from start to finish.
- Conduct quality control and quality assurance throughout the preconstruction and construction phases.
- Plan and allocate resources (manpower, equipment, materials) while adhering to budget constraints.
- Develop construction operations schedules, coordinate internal labor and subcontractors, and ensure adherence to project timelines.
- Supervise both internal staff and subcontractor work to ensure quality and schedule compliance.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with all health and safety standards.
- Regularly assess project progress and prepare detailed reports (including cost consultant and financial institution updates, payment certification, and project evaluations).
- Perform on-site visits and generate site reports.
- Process change orders and manage scope adjustments.
- Collaborate with architects and the construction team to ensure the project's feasibility and success.
- Host on-site meetings with clients, architects, and construction management teams.
Project Manager - Candidate Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of experience in managing multi-residential projects, including projects over 4 stories in height.
- Experience with underground parking structures, including associated work such as shoring, waterproofing, site servicing, and concrete forming.
- Knowledge of CCDC contracts and experience writing trade-specific scopes of work.
- Strong ability to analyze and interpret drawings, specifications, and reports (including geotechnical and DSS reports).
- Proficient in value engineering, with the ability to propose recommendations for changes to drawings or specifications.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Must have completed at least one project above 4 stories from start to finish.
