Job description

We are Cape Smokey Holding Ltd., a high-end real estate development company currently developing a major year-round resort at Cape Smokey, Cape Breton, Nova Scotia. To ensure our operations and projects (both on and off our ski hill) proceed in a timely and cost-effective manner, we require the position of Construction Project Manager (NOC 70010) to be filled.

Reporting to the CEO, the Construction Project Manager provides leadership to bid, plan, organize, direct, and control assigned projects. You will work with your project team to ensure on-time delivery, with the CEO engaged throughout the process.

We are located at 38696 Cabot Trail Road, Ingonish Beach, Nova Scotia, B0C 1L0, Canada.

This is a 3-year, non-seasonal, full-time position.

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and submit construction project budget estimates
  • Hire and supervise subcontractors
  • Plan and prepare construction schedules and milestones, monitor progress
  • Prepare contracts and negotiate revisions, changes, and additions
  • Establish and implement quality control policies and procedures
  • Read blueprints, schemas, and drawings
  • Select trade subcontractors and coordinate their activities
  • Direct the purchase of building materials and land acquisitions
  • Develop and implement quality control programs
  • Oversee data and information analysis
  • Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate daily operations
Skills / Requirements:
  • College or CEGEP diploma
  • Engineering technologies or related fields
  • Water management experience (asset)
  • Over 5 years of experience

This position offers an hourly salary of $40 - $49/hour.
