Job summary

U-Haul Holdings is seeking a Project Manager to oversee all project phases across construction, renovation, and maintenance at assigned locations in Canada, ensuring budgets, schedules, and specifications are met. You will review drawings and addendums, support contractor and trade selection, identify cost-saving opportunities, and ensure OSHA regulations and safety protocols are followed.

This role requires 3–5 years of construction or repair shop experience, a bachelor’s degree or equivalent,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Business, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of construction or repair shop experience.
• Prior U-Haul experience required.
• OSHA certification preferred.
• Ability to lift and move at least 50 lbs (with or without assistance).
• Ability to operate forklifts and related equipment (with training).
• Compliance with OSHA and all applicable city, state, and federal regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all project phases, including budgets, schedules, and compliance with specifications.
• Plan, coordinate, and execute construction, renovation, and maintenance activities at assigned locations.
• Review project documentation, including drawings, manuals, and addendums, before bids or proposals.
• Support contractor and trade selection, including preparing bid requests, contracts, and estimates.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities during renovations and deconstruction.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and all applicable city, state, and federal regulations.
• Confirm contractors are properly trained, following procedures, and using appropriate PPE.
• Ensure subcontractors obtain required permits.
• Work under the direction of the appropriate U-Haul Holdings Business Consultant (ADVP).
