Overview
Jones and Oak Contractors is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Construction Project Coordinator to join their growing team. This hybrid role combines on-site engagement with the flexibility of remote work, offering the ideal balance for a professional looking to contribute across all phases of project coordination and execution.
The Project Coordinator will support project delivery from start to finish, managing administration, schedules, and communication, while also stepping into a leadership role on-site when needed.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform project administration, including document control, scheduling, reporting, and subcontractor communications
- Lead shop drawing submittals and manage product sample delivery between suppliers and owner/consultant
- Coordinate the planning, implementation, and tracking of project deliverables
- Support procurement and logistics, including material tracking and inventory management
- Assist with budget monitoring, change orders, and cost tracking
- Conduct site inspections, quality reviews, and ensure compliance with specifications
- Liaise with subcontractors, consultants, and internal teams to achieve project goals
- Take a hands-on leadership role in field coordination, acting in a foreman capacity when required
- Participate in site meetings and assist with closeout documentation and turnover packages
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
- Eligible for registration with APEGNB (Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of New Brunswick)
- 5+ years of experience in construction project coordination or similar role preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, scheduling software (e.g., MS Project), and document control
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable working on-site and assuming leadership responsibilities in the field
- Valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation
- This is a full-time hybrid position, with a mix of site-based work in New Brunswick and the flexibility to work from home.
