Job summary

Kiewit Energy Canada District in Calgary, Alberta invites you to an internship in construction management, offering hands-on learning across field, office, and estimating activities. This program aims to develop skills for a full-time construction career with real project exposure.

Starting May 2027, participants will rotate through Field Engineering, Office Engineering, and Estimating while supporting safety, scheduling, and procurement efforts; relocation to work locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing undergrad/grad degree in mechanical, electrical engineering, construction management or related field.
• Proven communication and teamwork skills.
• Willingness to travel/relocate as needed.
• Ability to work full-time during the Summer (May–August).
• Strong ethics, safety attitude and work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Assist in field engineering tasks including interpretation of drawings, quantity takeoffs, and work package preparation.
• Support office engineering with data collection, drafting, submittals, and purchasing activities.
• Assist in estimating by reviewing historical data and bid documents.
