About the Organization

Lake Shore Gold, a subsidiary of Pan American Silver, is located in Timmins, Ontario. The Bell Creek Complex consists of an underground mine and processing facility.

About the Opportunity

We are looking to hire a Construction Miner (Paste) to join our team at the Bell Creek Mine in Porcupine, ON on a full-time basis.

The schedule is 5-5-4, 10-hour shifts rotating days and nights each week.

In this position, you will be responsible for bringing ground support to underground storages, building paste walls, and installing paste lines. You will also be responsible for the installation of shotcrete walls, installation/maintenance of ventilation lines and fans, installation/maintenance of all underground pumps and pumping systems, monitoring and maintaining all pipelines, and minor welding work.

Please note that this role requires relocation to the Timmins area and is not a camp-based position.

More About You

While our ideal candidate has the following qualifications, we welcome applicants who may not meet every criterion to apply:

• Previous paste, concrete, and shotcrete experience is required
• Must be able to operate a jackleg and stopper
• Experience with installation of timbers and specialized ground support, ventilation, forming, vent doors, walls, refuge stations, blasting, and welding would be considered an asset
• Practice good housekeeping
• Working at heights
• Be committed to safety
• Basic UG Hard Rock Common Core is required
