Job summary

Stantec is seeking an intermediate-level Construction Manager in British Columbia to support municipal water and wastewater projects in the Lower Mainland. This hands-on role blends field presence with office coordination, mentoring from senior managers, and exposure to owner-side delivery

The ideal candidate has 8–10 years in construction, experience with contractors on civil/infrastructure projects, and the ability to manage sequencing, safety, and progress reporting on active sites.

Qualifications

  • Approximately 8–10 years of construction or project delivery experience.
  • Experience working for a contractor on civil, infrastructure, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and safety.
  • Comfort working on active construction sites and interfacing with contractors.
  • Water, wastewater, utilities, or municipal infrastructure experience.
  • Experience working with municipalities or public owners.
  • A university degree is not required; a diploma, trade background, or equivalent practical experience is fully acceptable.

Our British Columbia Water Team is growing, and we want you to join our team to work alongside others who share your passion to support communities through exciting and unique water, wastewater, general civil infrastructure, and solid waste projects as well as water resources and natural system projects.

We are seeking an intermediate-level Construction Manager to support delivery of municipal water and wastewater projects across the Lower Mainland. This position is intentionally targeted to experienced contractor-side professionals- such as Project Engineers, Assistant Project Managers, Project Managers, or early-career Superintendents- who are ready to broaden their responsibility and gain owner-side delivery experience.

WhatYou’llBe Doing

This is a hands-on, field-engaged role with regular site presence. You will receive mentorship and technical support from senior construction managers and engineers.

Pay Transparency:In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible.Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.
