Job summary

Frontier-Kemper Constructors, Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, seeks a Construction Manager to join our Squamish project in British Columbia. Reporting to the Project Manager, you will lead safety, scheduling, cost control, and coordination with owners, engineers, and subcontractors on underground civil works.

The ideal candidate will have 10+ years in heavy civil or mining, TBM experience (EPB/Mixshield), hands-on Herrenknecht equipment, and strong PM/CM skills for site execution.

Qualifications

• A bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management.
• 10+ years of TBM operations experience (EPB & Mixshield).
• Hands-on experience with Herrenknecht equipment.
• 5+ years as Project Manager or Construction Manager in heavy civil/mining.
• Experience with project management, field engineering, estimating and/or scheduling.
• Willingness to work on underground construction sites (mines/tunnels).
• OSHA 30, MSHA Instructor and Underground Mine Examiner certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with assigned project under direction of the Project Manager/Project Executive.
• Assist with budgets and minimize exposure and risk on projects.
• Ensure procurement and proposal development activities stay on schedule.
• Communicate with sub-contractors and vendors responsible for different phases.
• Coordinate owners, architects, consultants, contractors and sub-contractors.
• Monitor progress and hold regular status meetings with clients or the team.
• Maintain strict adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Integrate new technology and mining methods to improve production.
• Assist with post-bid work plans, procurement, scheduling and cost control.
• Participate in production tracking and post-job analysis.
