What you will be doing:

  • Direct daily site operations across multiple commercial and residential projects involving architectural millwork and finish carpentry.
  • Coordinate construction schedules, subcontractors, and material deliveries to maintain progress according to project timelines.
  • Supervise site labor, subcontractor performance, and workmanship quality to ensure alignment with AWMAC standards and project specifications.
  • Monitor job site safety protocols, enforce compliance with regulations, and promote a culture of safety.

Project Coordination

  • Work closely with Project Managers, Estimators, and Design teams to interpret construction documents and clarify scope or technical issues.
  • Participate in pre-construction planning, site assessments, and mobilization to ensure project readiness.
  • Facilitate timely issue resolution and change management during active construction.

Client & Stakeholder Communication

  • Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, providing regular updates on progress, risks, and critical path activities to both clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Ensure that client expectations are managed and met throughout construction.

Vendor & Subcontractor Management

  • Supervise and evaluate subcontractor performance, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and quality.
  • Assist in negotiating terms and resolving disputes to maintain productive working relationships.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules with suppliers to avoid material delays and disruptions.

Budget, Cost & Quality Control

  • Assist with tracking costs, labor hours, and resource usage on-site to support financial reporting and budget adherence.
  • Identify potential cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or schedule.
  • Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations, quality standards, and inspection requirements.

Leadership & Team Management

  • Lead and mentor site crews, promoting teamwork, accountability, and productivity.
  • Support hiring and onboarding of trades and field staff as needed.
  • Conduct site meetings, toolbox talks, and regular performance assessments.

What You Bring:

  • Familiarity with construction management software (Procore preferred) and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Strong command of scheduling, safety protocols, and field documentation processes.

Leadership & Communication

  • Strong leadership, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills to manage site operations and build positive team dynamics.
  • Excellent communication abilities, both verbal and written, with clients, trades, and internal project teams.

Credentials

  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Knowledge of workplace safety standards and ability to enforce site-specific safety plans.
  • Ability to manage multiple active job sites and meet tight construction schedules.
